New Year..

Hello,
  Man it has been a long time since I have got to sit down and write my friends on my blog. When October hits it becomes crazy at our house till after Christmas. Speaking of Christmas. I hope that everyone has had a wonderful Christmas. We had a blast at our house. My parents were here. We got to go to a Christmas Eve service at our church. When we got home the kids opened their first present. We made them wait till Christmas morning. They were spoiled rotten but it was so much fun watching them opening their gifts.

   The new project that I just finished was inspired by my son. He has started a three year old pre-school. Each day they have been doing a letter of the day. He has been bringing home color sheets with different animals. I began to think, wouldn't it be cute if I made a alphabet book for him. So that is what I did. I made a blackline alphabet book for the students and a color one for the teacher.

October is in the Air..

Wow! It is hard to believe October is already here. I love the cooler weather, the colored leaves, and the scarecrows. This time of year is actually one of my most favorite times of year to teach. I loved doing all of the holiday activities. However, with the hustle and bustle of common core and state standards you have to make sure if you are teaching the standards in with your fun stuff. I wanted to share with you some items that I have available to help put some fun in your lesson plans while still teaching the standards.
  Probably my most favorite kit that I have made is my complete October Pumpkin Unit.

A Whole New World...

I cannot believe it. I have my very own blog. I have wanted to start one for sometime now, but I have struggled with how to start. I am so excited and I hope that I can learn many new things. Well, This is my first blog entry. I have been wanting to do this for a long time, but I am trying to get up the courage to do it. I guess I should start with telling you about myself. I am Jeniffer Fielding. I am a 32 year old wife, mother, and teacher on hold. I have two wonderful sons and they are just the light of my life. I have an amazing husband who works hard to take care of his family. God has truly blessed our life. We just recently celebrated our fourth wedding anniversary. I had been teaching since 2004. I have taught first grade and love it so. With the birth of our second son God made a way for me to stay at home and be a mommy. It was very tough leaving something I loved so dearly, but God has made it clear that being a mommy is the wonderful job that I am honored to do now. However, to keep me in the game, I have been creating materials for teachers who I am friends with and I have been putting them on teachers pay teachers. It has been fun to make the teacher materials and getting to play school even though I am at home. I am thankful that you are taking the time to read this and I hope that you will follow me on this journey. By the way, Fell free to give me some advice on how to make my blog more neat! I am a newbie at this!
